Four ConMet Plants Receive DTNA Masters of Quality Supplier Award
September 6, 2016, Vancouver, WA – ConMet is excited to announce that four of its production plants are recipients of Daimler Trucks North America’s 2015 Masters of Quality Supplier award. One of the recipients of this award, Monterrey Mexico Plastics, marks the first time a ConMet plastics plant has received the award.
The award, which is the highest honor that DTNA provides its suppliers throughout North America, recognizes exceptional suppliers that excelled in quality, delivery, technology, and cost performance.
DTNA’s Chief Operating Officer, Roger Nielsen, commented “Daimler Trucks North America is pleased to have awarded four of ConMet’s locations with the prestigious Masters of Quality Supplier Award, the newest being their plastics location in Monterrey, Mexico. ConMet’s wheel and hub plant in Monroe, North Carolina, is also the most awarded supplier at DTNA having received the award 26 times. I am proud of Daimler’s long standing partnership with ConMet, and pleased that ConMet continues to demonstrate a commitment to continuously improving their product quality as evidenced by these most recent awards.”
The additional ConMet plants that were recognized were:
Monroe, North Carolina – 26 years (the most times any supplier has been recognized)
Monterrey, Mexico (metals) – 13 years
Etowah, Tennessee – 6 years
“We are honored to have received this award and could not be more proud of each of our locations. Increased production demand made 2015 a busy year and we are proud of our plants for maintaining on-time delivery of quality parts,” stated Mike Swiderski, President of ConMet. “We are continually committed to providing our customers with the best in both materials and service. This is best reflected in the Masters of Quality Supplier award being given to our Monterrey Plastics location, one of the first plastics companies to ever receive this award.”
