Azalea Osorio | Quality Manager
Driving Excellence and Continuous Improvement in Quality Management
Azalea Osorio joined ConMet in 2017, bringing her passion for quality and innovation to the team. As the Quality Manager at ConMet’s Canton, North Carolina, facility, Azalea ensures product quality and compliance with rigorous industry standards. Her leadership and dedication to continuous improvement have played a vital role in ConMet’s reputation as a trusted supplier in the heavy-duty truck industry.

Azalea’s journey with ConMet began in Monterrey, Mexico, where she served as a Quality Engineer specializing in Molding. She quickly transitioned to the Paint area, successfully leading a project to reduce defects. By 2019, she was promoted to Quality Superintendent, further honing her skills and advancing ConMet’s quality initiatives. In 2021, Azalea embraced a new challenge, taking on her current role in Canton.

Azalea is a certified Black Belt from the EGADE Business School at Tecnológico de Monterrey, one of the leading universities in Latin America. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and an MBA with a focus on Quality and Productivity from Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon in Mexico.
Since joining the Canton team, Azalea’s expertise and dedication have helped ConMet earn several prestigious supplier awards, including PACCAR’s 10 PPM Award – which honors suppliers achieving a quality standard of fewer than 10 defective parts per million components shipped – and Daimler Truck North America’s Masters of Quality supplier award.
Azalea’s success stems from her ability to understand customer needs and collaborate with key stakeholders, driving exceptional performance in quality metrics. She credits her achievements to strong management support, professional development opportunities, and the inspiration she draws from her family – her husband Julio and their three children, Natalia, Emma and Julio.
Looking ahead, Azalea sees an exciting road ahead for ConMet, driven by ambitious expansion plans and innovative projects that will further solidify the company’s position as a leader in the heavy-duty truck industry. For Azalea personally, she envisions long-term success in achieving both professional and personal wellness, and she draws motivation from ConMet’s collaborative, people-first culture and unwavering commitment to excellence.

Mike Leitert | Vice President, North America Plastics Manufacturing Operations
Engineering Success in Plastics Manufacturing
With more than thirty years of experience in operations and business management, Mike Leitert has developed a leadership style rooted in efficiency, innovation, and team-driven success. As Vice President of North American Plastics Manufacturing Operations at ConMet, he ensures safety, quality, delivery, and cost efficiency across all plastics operations.

Mike’s expertise in manufacturing engineering, strategic process improvements, and executive leadership has allowed him to lead high-impact initiatives that enhance both profitability and performance. His ability to tackle complex manufacturing challenges with precision makes him an invaluable asset to ConMet’s leadership team.
Mike has played a key role in transforming ConMet’s plastics operations, notably leading the turnaround of the Canton, North Carolina, facility. By implementing structured processes, reinforcing corporate trust, and strengthening customer confidence, he helped stabilize and improve the plant’s performance.

In 2022 (and every year since1), ConMet received PACCAR’s 10 PPM recognition, marking a major improvement from its previous standing as one of PACCAR’s underperforming suppliers. Under Mike’s leadership, the company enhanced quality and reliability, meeting high industry standards and solidifying its reputation as a trusted supplier.
Mike values ConMet’s inclusive, cooperative culture, where teams work together to drive both manufacturing and customer strategies. He credits the company’s leadership and ESOP structure for fostering an environment that empowers employees and aligns them toward shared success – a key factor in achieving his long-term goal of scaling plastics operations for profitable growth.

Ritesh Kumar | Materials Manager

Ritesh Kumar is making a significant impact at ConMet as Materials Manager, where he oversees the planning, storage and distribution of essential materials that power the company’s operations. With a keen eye for detail and an ability to streamline complex processes, Ritesh’s role is pivotal in maintaining ConMet’s reputation for excellence in the commercial vehicle industry.

Ritesh joined ConMet in 2021 with nearly 15 years of experience and a wealth of knowledge in inventory management, supplier relationships and process optimization, setting the stage for his impactful role at ConMet. A mechanical engineer by training, Ritesh holds a degree from KITS in Nagpur, India, and brings both technical acumen and strategic thinking to his role.

Ritesh is well-versed in the challenges that come with managing a dynamic supply chain. From global disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic to navigating material shortages, he remains focused on solutions that drive efficiency and cost savings. Despite the challenges they’ve faced, Ritesh and his team have delivered a 25% reduction in inventory costs and a 99% on-time delivery rate through enhanced communication, collaboration and strong supplier partnerships.
Looking ahead, Ritesh is dedicated to advancing his career at ConMet, with aspirations to take on senior leadership roles within supply chain. With a focus on innovation, sustainability and industry transformation, he strives to make a lasting impact on the company’s continued success.
