John Waters - President

I’m John Waters, President of ConMet. I’ve been in this role since 2019, but my journey with the company began over 30 years ago. I was fortunate to serve as ConMet’s Chief Financial Officer for 24 years during which time the company saw significant growth and expanded globally into both Mexico and China. I also served as the company’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Operations and as Vice President and General Manager of the Metals Division prior to becoming ConMet’s President.

Before joining ConMet, I held financial leadership positions in the technology industry and in public accounting, working with Deloitte as a licensed CPA. My academic background includes a B.S. in Accounting from Oregon State University.

Daniel Burrows — Vice President & General Manager, TruckWings

I’m Daniel Burrows, ConMet’s Vice President and General Manager of the TruckWings business unit. In 2015, I founded TruckLabs out of my graduate work at Stanford University, and in 2023, the company became a wholly owned subsidiary of ConMet. Prior to founding TruckLabs, I worked in Venture Capital and management consultancy. I was recognized as one of the 2022 Pros to Know, a list of outstanding supply chain leaders selected by Supply & Demand Chain Executive. My education includes both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in physics from Imperial College London, and an M.B.A. from Stanford University.

Tim Caplice, Vice President, Human Resources

I’m the VP of Human Resources at ConMet, Tim Caplice. Before I took on this role in 2009, I was part of another Amsted-owned company in Chicago for three years. My journey in HR began at Ford Motor Company, where I spent 12 years in various HR management positions and even led as the Chief Negotiator of Labor Negotiations at Ford’s Chicago stamping and assembly plants. Before stepping into the automotive industry, I was practicing law. I worked as an attorney, handling criminal defense and general civil litigation after passing the Bar Exam back in 1992. My educational background includes a B.S. from the University of Illinois and a Juris Doctor degree from DePaul University College of Law.

David Craig – Vice President of Sales, TruckWings

I am David Craig, the Vice President of Sales for ConMet’s TruckWings product. My mission is to drive forward technologies that enhance fuel efficiency and slash carbon emissions for Class 8 trucks. My expertise lies in managing operations and spearheading revenue growth, skills that I honed through past roles in enterprise tech companies. At ZVerse, I was instrumental in the company’s exponential expansion, leading operations, product innovation, and revenue strategies during a period of unprecedented growth. Before my tenure at ConMet, I held executive roles at industry giants such as ProfitLogic, Oracle, and Maersk Line, where I applied my operational and sales acumen to scale businesses swiftly and effectively.

Ryan Dillon, General Manager, Castings

I’m Ryan Dillon, and I’m the General Manager of Castings at ConMet. I began my career with the company in 2004 as a Design Engineer. Over the years, I’ve moved up through different roles in the engineering department, taking on jobs like Engineering Manager, Director of Product Development, Director of Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, and Director of Northwest Die Casting Operations. I hold a Mechanical Engineering B.S. degree from Oregon State University.

Michael Flynn, General Manager, Plastics Business Unit

I’m Michael Flynn, General Manager of the Plastics Business Unit at ConMet. I’ve been with the company since 1997, and I’ve held multiple leadership roles, most recently as the Director of Engineering for eMobility and NPI, and earlier as the Director of Strategy and Operational Excellence for Plastics. My experience also includes serving as Plant Manager and Engineering Manager within the Plastics division. In my current role, my focus is on managing profit and loss, strategic development, and driving business and organizational growth. I excel in critical problem solving, customer engagement, operations, and manufacturing excellence, all of which contribute to our robust product development process. I earned my bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from Oregon State University.

Nan Guo, Vice President and GM - ConMet China & Asia Pacific

I’m Nan Guo, the Vice President and General Manager of ConMet China since 2007. Before joining ConMet, I was a General Manager at Watts Tianjin, an industrial automation company. My educational background includes a B.S. in Material Science and Engineering from Beijing Polytechnic University, followed by an M.S. in the same field from The Ohio State University. I also have an M.B.A. from Southern New Hampshire University.

Mike Harman, Vice President of International Sales at ConMet & Managing Director of ConMet Europe GmbH

I’m ConMet’s Vice President of International Sales, Mike Harman. My journey with the company has been diverse and rewarding, starting as an Operations Manager in ConMet’s machine shop in Portland. Not long after, I switched to sales, first working with our Freightliner account. I moved up over the years, becoming Director of Sales in 2000, then the Vice President of Sales in 2005, and finally stepping into my current role in 2015. Before joining ConMet, I was a Technical Sales Representative at IBM from 1989 to 1993. My educational background is in Electrical Engineering, which I studied at Oregon State University, earning a B.S. degree.

Mike Hurley, Vice President - Global Business Development

I’m Mike Hurley, and I’m in charge of Global Business Development at ConMet. I’ve been with ConMet since 1997, starting out as an OEM Account Executive. In 2005, I was promoted to Vice President and have taken on several different roles since then. I’ve been in my current position since 2022, but my career actually began back in 1988 at Volvo Trucks. Over the years, I’ve worked in Sales, Marketing, and Product Management at companies like Bostrom Seating, Hendrickson, and Meritor. I studied Mechanical Engineering and got my B.S. from North Carolina State University.

Mike Hurley

Andrew Kelly – Vice President, Product Management TruckWings

I am Andrew Kelly, Vice President and Product Manager at ConMet with the TruckWings product line. I joined TruckLabs in 2019 as a Product Manager, and rose to VP in 2021. My career started at Honda R&D Americas where I was a Design Engineer and then a Large Product Leader, focusing on active aerodynamics for light-duty vehicles. In my current role, I am responsible for product development, sales engineering, and managing the data pipeline for TruckWings. I maintain direct relationships with fleet decision-makers and OEM partners, ensuring that customer technical needs are seamlessly integrated into TruckWings’ design. My work also involves developing and deploying validation techniques to guarantee our product’s performance, as well as creating a suite of service materials for customer success. I hold both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering from Johns Hopkins University.

Jeff Larson, Vice President of Engineering, Core Products

I’m Jeff Larson, the Vice President of Engineering for Core Products at ConMet. I started with the company in 2004 as a test engineering intern, which set the stage for a progressive career through various engineering positions. Over the years, I’ve tackled roles in test, applications, and product management, and I’ve held leadership positions such as China Director of Engineering, Metals Director of Engineering, and Metals Chief Engineer. In each role, my focus has always been on solving customer problems, ensuring that our engineering solutions meet the complex demands of our clients. My foundational knowledge in this field comes from a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Oregon State.

Chris Marr, Vice President, Global Manufacturing Strategy

I’m Chris Marr, Vice President of Global Manufacturing Strategy at ConMet. I’ve been part of the ConMet team since 1994, and my journey here has been quite diverse. I started as a Project Engineer, then moved up to Engineering Manager, and eventually became Plant Manager at our Clackamas manufacturing facility. Later, I took on roles at our corporate headquarters in Vancouver, including Molded Products Engineering Manager, Director of Materials, Vice President of Supply Chain, and Vice President of Engineering. I also had the opportunity to lead as the President of Diamond Chain, another Amsted Industries company, and served as Co-Chairman of the Amsted Purchasing Committee. My academic background includes a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Portland State University, and I completed my M.B.A. at the University of Oregon in 2010.

Mike Miga – Vice President of Motor Propulsion Technology

I am ConMet’s Vice President of eMobility Engineering, Mike Miga. My path here was paved through leadership in engineering, previously serving as VP of Engineering for Molded Products and Director of Plastic Engineering within ConMet. Before ConMet, I worked at Volvo Trucks as a Product Engineer and later as the Advanced Engineering Manager for Cab. My educational journey began with a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from Alfred State College in 1994, followed by a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering from NC State in 2002. These experiences and my academic background have been instrumental in shaping my expertise and approach to advancing eMobility solutions.

Luke Penskar, Chief Financial Officer

I’m Luke Penskar, ConMet’s Chief Financial Officer. Before stepping into this role, I was the Vice President of Finance here from 2018 through 2022. Before joining ConMet, I held positions at Amsted, our parent company, where I eventually became the Corporate Treasurer. I also held a variety of financial roles at W.W. Grainger, focusing on Compliance and Accounting. I first started my career as a civilian auditor with the Department of Defense in the Office of the Inspector General. My academic career includes a B.A. in Accounting from Michigan State University, and I’m also a Certified Public Accountant.

Doug Pomphrey - Vice President, Mexico Business Operations

I’m Doug Pomphrey, Vice President of Mexico Business Operations at ConMet. I’ve helped expand our operations in Mexico to enhance our operating capabilities and business practices, ensuring compliance and customer satisfaction. From 2014 to 2018, as COO for North America, I led our teams through significant growth and continuous improvement phases. Before joining ConMet in 1999, I led a critical restructuring of an old foundry in New York with Citation Corporation and managed a $60M project for Amcast Industries. My journey started with the Intermet Corporation, followed by an instrumental role in DuPont’s Lycra spinning lines startup. I hold a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Old Dominion University.

Ramesh Ramanathan, Chief Operating Officer

I’m Ramesh Ramanathan, Chief Operating Officer at ConMet. My journey here began in 2018 when I joined as the COO of Plastics for our Mexico facilities. With a career spanning 26 years, I have gathered extensive operations experience across the globe, from Asia to Europe, and throughout North America. I started my professional path in manufacturing and production engineering roles at General Electric and Ford Motor Company. Later, I spent a significant portion of my career at Visteon where I took on several key leadership roles. There, I was responsible for building, managing, scaling, and directing large-scale manufacturing plants specializing in automotive interiors, lighting, aluminum castings, and electronics. My educational foundation was laid at the PSG College of Technology in Coimbatore, India, where I earned a B.E. in Production Engineering.

Brian Rieger, Vice President, Sales

I’m Brian Rieger, currently serving as ConMet’s Vice President of Sales. My time at ConMet started back in 1999 when I joined the team as a Design Engineer. Over the years, I’ve taken on various roles within the company including Plastics Account Manager, Wheel End Product Manager, Director of Sales in China – both in Engineering and Marketing, and later Director of Sales for OEM. I also had the opportunity to lead as the Vice President of Aftermarket Sales. Before all this, my path began with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Oregon State University, where I got my start as a MECOP intern.

Brian Robinson, Vice President, Procurement

I’m Brian Robinson, the Vice President of Purchasing at ConMet. I joined the team in 2022 with over 25 years of experience in buying and managing supplies globally, especially in areas like bearings, plastics, and castings. I’m also a recognized member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply. Before coming to ConMet, I managed purchasing and supply chains in different fields, from aerospace to everyday consumer products. My education includes a bachelor’s degree from Open University and an M.B.A. from Imperial College London, both in the U.K., furthering my expertise in both practical and strategic aspects of business and supply chain management.

Wade Roskam — VP Global Tier 1 Strategic Relationship

Top of the day! I’m Wade Roskam. As Vice President of Global Tier 1 Strategic Relationships at ConMet, I lead strategic initiatives supporting our core and innovative products. My career has included impactful roles at Freightliner Truck Corporation, where I led marketing planning, and transformative leadership positions at several Marmon Group companies. My background spans various industries, influenced by my early involvement in family-owned businesses. I hold a BA in Economics Management and Speech Communications from Albion College, further supplemented by business courses at Marmon College.

Wade Roskam

Noel Somasundram – Vice President Quality

I’m ConMet’s VP of Quality, Noel Somasundram. I’ve held this position since 2023, but my track record spans over three decades in the commercial vehicle industry. My expertise in Quality Management was honed as Director of Quality at ConMet and previously, in leadership roles at International Automotive Components and Lear Corporation across global regions. I am a Senior Member of the Society of Plastics Engineering with certifications in Advanced Quality Engineering and Statistical Process Control. At ConMet, my role encompasses Quality Management, Advanced Quality Planning, Operations, Supplier Quality, and Engineering, ensuring excellence across all facets of our operations. My academic foundation includes a B.S. in Applied Engineering from the University of Texas, an Associate of Science from Howard College, and a focus on Industrial Robotics from DeVry Institute of Technology.

Marc Trahand, Vice President & General Manager, ConMet eMobility

I’m Marc Trahand, and I lead the eMobility business unit at ConMet. I came on board in 2021, bringing with me a wide range of experience from electric mobility and energy to the automotive sector and beyond. I’ve always had an entrepreneurial spirit, with a strong foundation in marketing and communications, operations, and managing both products and projects. My career has taken me through complex projects with big international companies and a few successful startups. Education-wise, I’ve got a B.E. in Electrical Engineering from Heriot-Watt University, an M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Imperial College London, another M.S. in Electrical Engineering from CentraleSupelec, and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School.

Jill Wait-Molyneux, Vice President, IT & Digital Business Solutions

I’m Jill Wait-Molyneux, and I currently hold the position of Vice President of Information Technology and Digital Business Solutions at ConMet. My journey here began in 1983 when I started as a Computer Programmer. With over 40 years under my belt at ConMet, I’ve had the opportunity to grow and succeed within the company. Before stepping into my current role in 2020, I gained valuable experience as both a manager and director. My academic background is in Computer Science, which laid the foundation for my career in IT and digital solutions.

My career has spanned different areas of engineering including manufacturing, quality control, and product design. I’ve also ventured into sales, taking on a significant role as an Account Executive for DTNA. More recently, I’ve moved into leadership positions, starting as an Applications Engineering Manager and progressing to Director of Product Development. My educational background is in Mechanical Engineering, which I studied at Oregon State University where I earned my B.S.
