Vancouver, WA – For the 23rd time in 26 years, Consolidated Metco (ConMet) has received the Masters of Quality award as a supplier to Daimler Trucks North America.

The Masters of Quality award, now in its 26th year, recognizes suppliers that meet or exceed Daimler Truck North America’s stringent quality standards by receiving high scores on their delivery, technology, and cost performance. These suppliers demonstrate an ongoing commitment to improving the quality of their products and overall performance of their businesses.

“We are honored once again to receive this award,” noted Mark Wagner, ConMet VP of Wheel Ends. “It’s a true testament to our exceptional partnership with Daimler as well as our commitment to excellence at all levels of design, product development, manufacturing and customer service.”

Besides honoring ConMet’s wheel hub plant in Monroe, NC, for the 23rd year, Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) also recognized ConMet’s other manufacturing facilities with Masters of Quality awards in 2012:

  • Aluminum castings plant in Clackamas, Oregon, for the 19th year
  • Manufacturing plant in Monterrey, Mexico, for the 10th year
  • Drum manufacturing plant in Etowah, Tennessee, for the third year.

Roger Nielsen, chief operating officer for Daimler Trucks North America, praised the suppliers stating, “In 2012, we continued to solidify our position as the quality and market share leader in our industry.
