“We relied on our proven TruTurn and CastLite brake drum technologies to create an affordable brake drum for heavy-duty truck and trailer applications,” explains Mark Wagner, ConMet’s Vice President of Wheel Ends.
TruCast offers a weight-saving advantage as well. The 16.5” x 8.625” version is a full nine pounds lighter than a standard cast drum. Plus, there is a lightweight 16.5” x 7” drum that weighs only 106 pounds.
