VANCOUVER, Wash. – October 29, 2024 – ConMet is pleased to announce it has been recognized with a Silver award in the Innovation category at the prestigious 2024 Chief Learning Officer (CLO) Learning in Practice Awards. This award recognizes ConMet’s dedication to pioneering talent management practices that drive organizational success and employee growth.
Since 2003, the Learning in Practice Awards have celebrated exceptional contributions to the learning and development field. Presented during the annual CLO Symposium, this year’s ceremony took place on October 22 in Tucson, Arizona. The awards highlight categories such as Business Impact, Innovation, Strategy, and Talent Management, with gold, silver, and bronze distinctions in each.
ConMet’s award-winning LEAD programs play a central role in its talent development success. These programs – LEAD and LEAD Manufacturing – have cultivated more than 50 leaders across North America through 12-month, cohort-based experiences designed to foster essential leadership skills. The program’s curriculum focuses on key leadership competencies like strategic thinking, executive presence, and business acumen, combining assessments, executive coaching, and both virtual and in-person training. Additionally, action learning components allow participants to work on significant ConMet business challenges, directly contributing to organizational goals while honing their skills.
A hallmark of the program is its final phase, in which teams present projects, recommended business actions, and personal insights to ConMet’s top management. This opportunity not only allows participants to demonstrate their learning but also strengthens ConMet’s leadership pipeline with a group of high-performing leaders prepared for future growth and organizational challenges.
Marci Jackson, ConMet’s Director of Corporate Human Resources & Global Talent Management, accepted the Silver award in recognition of her role in spearheading these efforts.
“We are incredibly honored to be recognized by Chief Learning Officer for our commitment to employee growth through innovation,” Jackson said. “At ConMet, we strive to create development opportunities that empower our team members to thrive and drive meaningful contributions. This award is an affirmation of the impact our programs have made, and I look forward to further advancing our initiatives to support both individual growth and organizational excellence.”
Ashley St. John, editor-in-chief and chief content officer for Chief Learning Officer, praised the award recipients.
“The 2024 Learning in Practice Awards finalists exemplify the pinnacle of innovation and dedication in employee development,” St. John said. “This year’s winners have once again raised the bar, showcasing inventive approaches that not only enhance individual growth but also drive organizational success.”
