Vancouver, Wash. — July 15, 2024 — ConMet, a leading supplier of components to the commercial vehicle industry, is proud to announce that it has once again been awarded the prestigious PACCAR Supplier Performance Management (SPM) Award for 2023. This accolade marks the fourth consecutive year that ConMet has been recognized, a testament to its steadfast commitment to excellence and innovation.
The PACCAR SPM Award is a distinguished honor that showcases the notable performance of suppliers in delivering superior products and services. ConMet has excelled across all three divisions – wheel ends, castings, and plastics – meeting and surpassing the rigorous standards set by PACCAR, a global leader in the manufacturing of premium commercial vehicles.
One of ConMet’s noteworthy contributions to PACCAR’s success is the integration of its state-of-the-art PreSet® and PreSet Plus® hub assemblies. PreSet hub assemblies have been standard on all of PACCAR’s Peterbilt and Kenworth vehicles since 2003, and PreSet Plus have been standard since 2013. By providing reliable and technologically advanced solutions, ConMet has consistently delivered exceptional value to PACCAR and its customers.
In addition to wheel ends, ConMet supplies PACCAR with plastic interior components such as instrument panels, header assemblies, and sleeper cabinets, as well as some plastic exterior components. ConMet also provides cast iron and lightweight aluminum components like crossmembers, fuel tank brackets, engine and cab supports, hood mounts, and exhaust brackets. These high-quality products are designed to enhance the performance, efficiency, and durability of PACCAR’s commercial vehicles.
“The commitment of suppliers is critical to our success. We greatly appreciate these suppliers’ efforts and achievements in the SPM Program,” said Darrin Siver, PACCAR executive vice president.
ConMet attributes much of its success as an OEM provider to its stringent design, validation, manufacturing, and packaging processes. The company collaborates closely with PACCAR and other OEM partners to ensure continuous innovation, improvement, and cost performance. ConMet’s strategically located facilities simplify logistics and ensure just-in-time delivery to meet manufacturing needs efficiently.
“We are honored to receive the SPM award once again for all three divisions,” said Ramesh Ramanathan, Chief Operations Officer of ConMet North American Operations. “Our partnership with PACCAR is invaluable, and we’re proud to meet and exceed their rigorous quality standards to help deliver a top-quality product.”
Receiving the PACCAR SPM Award for its wheel ends, castings, and plastics divisions further solidifies ConMet’s position as a global leader in the commercial vehicle industry. ConMet remains dedicated to providing cutting-edge solutions that drive customer success and contribute to the advancement of the industry.
